Bobby Flores

May 2, 2018 By Tattoo Artist - Terry Ribera

Thank you to everyone who supported our fundraiser for Bobby Flores @horichata on the 29th. It saddens us and all of Bobby’s friends and family to hear the news that Bobby had passed away yesterday.

As some of you may know Bobby was in the ICU for the last two months waiting for a heart transplant. Unfortunately this wait was longer than Bobby could sustain. He was a tremendously humble and honest person and a true pleasure to work with. I am proud to say that he worked with us at Remington Tattoo for nearly 2 years, and became a great asset to our shop and an even better friend. I wish we all could have known him longer. Our fundraiser raised $7604. $950 from @chriscockadoodledo tattoo machine raffle, a good $1000 or so of it from our wonderful and generous clients that dropped by with donations. The rest of the money was raised from tattooing on April 29th.

We will be donating all of the money to Bobby’s Family and I encourage anyone who can to help support his family. Bobby left this world with a loving wife and two beautiful children. They need all of our support. Please attend the @sdtattoosupply art show on June 2nd and purchase a piece of art or donate directly to Bobby’s go fund me. His family will need all of the support that we can afford.

Biography

Born and raised in Tijuana and San Diego, I’ve always had a passion for the melting pot of art and culture that surrounded me. Born into a creative family I established a foundation in art with four years of SCPA (a fine arts program provided at my high school). I went on to community college in 1998 where I majored in doodling and received a financial aid check I used to buy some tattoo machines and enough needles to do about 10 tattoos. Anyhow, I’ve been tattooing professionally since spring 2009.
